In 2020, achieving our vision has been much harder due to the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Massachusetts residents face record unemployment, lost wages, and a substantial increase in food insecurity — from 8.4% to 16.6% of households. The hardest hit are Black and Latinx households across the Commonwealth.
With your support, Food Link has collected and delivered the equivalent of 800,000 meals safely to organizations serving those in need. We are collecting pallets of food from every part of the food system — farms, wholesale warehouses, grocers, and schools — and delivering them to established community partners and pop-up food distribution centers in towns across eastern Massachusetts including: Arlington, Chelsea, Lawrence, Lexington, Lowell, Malden, Medford, Waltham, and more.
You have the power to make a difference, and we need your help now more than ever. By supporting Food Link’s programs, you help your neighbors have enough to eat during this period of uncertainty while also decreasing the damaging environmental impact of food waste.
Make a difference today.
