Food Link Founders
DeAnne Dupont
DeAnne Dupont founded Food Link with Julie Kremer in 2012. Food Link brings together three of DeAnne's passions: protecting the environment, reducing waste, and alleviating hunger. Her financial and operational background in the corporate sector and her experience as a CPA have been greatly beneficial in launching Food Link.
Julianna Kremer
Julianna Kremer co-founded Food Link in 2012 and is currently the governance committee chair. Julie has been on the board since 2014 when Food Link was incorporated. She co-founded Food Link on the basis of two important beliefs: food insecurity and environmental sustainability. Prior to Food Link, Julie was a caterer and full time volunteer with multiple religious, social, and school organizations. Preceding that she was the Administrative Manager at TEMPO Enterprises (now Liberty Media) and Co-Chef and Manager of Fabulous Foods in Tulsa, OK.

Rachel Albert, Executive Director

Rachel has been Executive Director of Food Link since Spring of 2021. She brings to Food Link extensive nonprofit leadership experience with an affinity for times of growth and transition. Before joining Food Link, Rachel held executive positions at Jewish Family & Children’s Service in Waltham and Birches School in Lincoln.
In addition to her leadership experience, Rachel has worked as a strategy consultant to multiple mission-driven organizations, helping them navigate their challenges and achieve their goals. Her areas of expertise include leadership development, change management and measurement and evaluation. She holds graduate degrees in both business and social work from Columbia University and lives in Arlington with her family.
Delita Goodridge, Director of Administration and Special Projects

Delita joined Food Link in August 2022, eager to help with the food recovery program in her local community. She is fully motivated by Food Link's mission and finds it rewarding to know that she is directly impacting the lives of others in a positive way. Prior to joining Food Link, she worked in the healthcare/research industries in Boston and Cambridge.
Alex Kramer, Program Director

Alex Kramer joined the Food Link staff in April 2019, but was first with Food Link as a volunteer in 2018. She studied Health Science as an undergraduate, and worked in cafes and restaurants before coming to Food Link. She is passionate about making sure people not only have access to food, but that it's healthy and fresh.

Khadejeh joined Food Link in October 2020. Her favorite parts of the job are working with Food Link’s fun and dedicated volunteers and connecting our recipients with foods that they are excited to recieve. You can often find Khadejeh organizing and rearranging around the Hub or tending to Food Link's container garden.

Joining Food Link in May 2024 after distributing the organization’s deliveries as an Arlington Council on Aging and Somerville Homeless Coalition intern, Darcy is eager to work with a great team of staff and volunteers to combat food insecurity and waste while cultivating systematic change. They graduated from Mount Holyoke College with an Anthropology major and Chinese minor.
Meghan Dawe, Logistics Manager (Roxbury)

Meghan joined Food Link in November 2025 as the Roxbury Logistics Manager. After earning her degree in Chemical Engineering at WPI, she sharpened her skills in food manufacturing and warehouse operations. Since 2021, Meghan has dedicated her work to the nonprofit sector, driving improvements in areas like mobile farmers markets, food recovery, and affordable retail. She is excited to bring her knowledge of processes and systems to make Food Link's Roxbury expansion a success.

Krista joined Food Link in March 2026. She studied Community & International Development with a minor in Food Systems at the University of Vermont. She has a professional background in events management and operations. She recently returned from 27 months of service in the education sector as a Peace Corps Volunteer in North Macedonia. Krista is excited to be contributing to a sustainable and equitable transformation of the local food system while continuing to engage with volunteerism.

Shannon joined Food Link in February 2021 as the Communications and Digital Marketing Coordinator. She received her MLA in Gastronomy from Boston University. Prior to Food Link, she worked in higher education administration at BU and in digital marketing at Branchfood.

Rose Freudberg manages Food Link's volunteer corps of 350+ volunteers. Rose is passionate about improving food access and she envisions a world where everyone always has enough to eat. She graduated from Brandeis University with a double major in Health: Science, Society, and Policy and Theater Arts. Prior to Food Link, she interned with the Newton Food Pantry.

Jo joined Food Link in April 2024. He has backgrounds in food service, agriculture, and horticulture, and holds degrees in Nutrition Science and Policy from UMass Lowell and Tufts University. Jo believes that nourishing food should be affordable and convenient, and he is inspired by the stories and experiences of volunteers who commit their time to cultivating community around food.

Emma Lowenstein graduated from Simmons University with a major in Public Health focused on Sociology. She started at Food Link as an intern and immediately saw the impact the organization was making. Bridget found her way to Food Link in 2022, where she started as an Operations Associate, then transitioned into the volunteer program. Prior to joining the Food Link team, she worked in food service and then as a paralegal. She is excited to work toward the goal of providing access to abundant, nourishing food for everyone. She especially appreciates the opportunity to work with her coworkers and Food Link's incredible volunteers.

Bridget first joined Food Link as an intern helping out in Food Rescue operations. She was excited to work with an organization helping to reduce food waste and quickly realized the reward of helping to feed people. Bridget quickly became a valuable member of the team because of her willingness to help and her ability to get food organized! She’s a curious person who always loves learning about different types of food and different cultural cuisines.

Since 2004, Eva has designed, implemented, and funded nonprofit programs focused on food systems and hunger relief. She launched the National Incubator Farm Training Initiative, served as a program officer at Wholesome Wave supporting farmers market incentive programs nationwide, and was Assistant Director of Programs at the Rhode Island Community Food Bank.
As a RI Foundation Carter Fellow, Eva founded Hope's Harvest in 2018, which has since recovered over 1 million pounds of fresh produce and is now part of Farm Fresh RI. Throughout her career, she has raised and administered over $8 million in funding from diverse sources.
Eva holds an M.S. from Tufts University's Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy and serves on the boards of Osamequin Farm and the Relish Rhody 2.0 Food Strategy Advisory Committee.

Elise Springuel, BananaBox Consulting
Elise Springuel is a Program Evaluation and Strategic Planning consultant with 15 years of experience in food systems and nonprofit work. A former Food Link Staff member, she now provides strategic advising and program evaluation services for the organization. Her focus is on helping nonprofits plan programs that are guided by both data and they people they serve. Elise holds a MSW from Boston College with a focus on Social Innovation and Change Management.

Nora's legal career was focused on public service and enhancing public/private partnerships that keep our communities strong. After a stint at a law firm, Nora transitioned to government service in the office of the Middlesex District Attorney, the office of the Massachusetts Attorney General, and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. In retirement, she volunteers her time to support access to reproductive health, to support access to voting, and to help local nonprofits stay vital. She is also an active Food Link volunteer regularly filling her family car with banana boxes of fresh and nutritious food for our communities.

Matthew is a U.S. and global public health and nonprofit management professional with twenty years of experience encompassing work in over twenty countries and on a range of health programs, including nutrition and food security. Prior to his current role at Commuinty Catalyst, he worked at John Snow, Inc. (JSI), Partners In Health, Mercy Corps, and U.S. Peace Corps. Over his career, Matthew has focused on resourcing and implementing partnership-based solutions to health inequities. He intends to bring this lens to Food Link. Matthew has an MBA in global health from the Heller School at Brandeis University.
